4.05 Bobby is excited to announce a partnership with Starbucks-owned Hear Music! Hear Music, the voice of music at Starbucks, has one purpose: to help people discover great music. For years the company has provided the music you hear as well as the unique compilations for sale in Starbucks stores. (In fact, it co-released Ray Charles: Genius Loves Company, winner of eight Grammy awards in 2005.)
Hear Music currently has two "brick and mortar" retail locations, the Hear Music Coffeehouse in Santa Monica, CA and the Hear Music Store in Berkeley, CA. (Another Hear Music Coffeehouse is coming soon to South Beach, FL.) At both stores you can explore, listen to and purchase over 10,000 CDs, discover emerging artists and burn your own custom mix to CD. The only difference is that the Hear Music Coffeehouse has a Starbucks inside. Bobby’s debut CD Dilettante is now for sale at both of these locations.
Moreover, Starbucks has installed Hear Music Media Bars in 45 of its stores in Seattle, WA and Austin, TX. At these locations, you can explore Hear Music's gigantic digital library of music and purchase the track(s) you like by burning a custom mix to CD. Starbucks plans to roll-out more Media Bars this year and expects eventually to have them in up to two-thirds of its 4,500 U.S. stores. All the tracks from Dilettante are available for purchase at all of the Media Bars.
